A police officer has been charged after allegedly accessing restricted information without authorisation.
About 10.30am yesterday (Tuesday 28 July 2020), the 53-year-old male senior constable, attached to the North West Metropolitan Region, was issued a Court Attendance Notice for two counts of access/modify restricted data held in computer.
Police will allege in court that the officer accessed restricted information on two separate occasions this year.
He is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Monday 14 September 2020.
The officer's duty status is currently under review.
