Officer charged - Specialist command 17 August

A police officer has been charged over an alleged fraud offence following an investigation by the Professional Standards Command.

A 48-year-old female detective sergeant, attached to a specialist command, was issued with a Court Attendance Notice today (Monday 17 August 2020) for forgery – accessory after the fact.

Police will allege in court that the officer's signature was forged on a document.

She is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 30 September 2020.

The officer is currently suspended.
