A police officer has been charged after allegedly committing numerous fraud offences over a five year period.
In December of 2017 investigators from Professional Standards Command established Strike Force Deloraine to investigate fraudulent health care claims between 2012 and 2017.
Earlier today (Friday 26 April 2019) a future court attendance notice was served on the senior constable's legal representative.
The 38-year-old female officer was charged with dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception (x 120) and attempt dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception (x 2).
The officer attached to a specialist command will appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 5 June 2019.
She remains suspended from duty with pay.
