An off-duty police officer has been fined and his driver's licence suspended after being caught allegedly drink-driving at Cammeray today (Monday 1 June 2026).
The 36-year-old man was stopped for a random breath test on the Warringah Freeway off ramp about 11.50am today, allegedly returning a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.054.
The senior constable – who is attached to a specialist command – has been issued a $704 fine and his driver's licence suspended for three months.
