Officer Faces Domestic Violence Charges in SW Metro

A police officer has been charged following an investigation into an alleged domestic violence related telecommunications offence.

On Tuesday 26 August 2026, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of an alleged breach of an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO).

Following inquiries, a 35-year-old man - a constable attached to North West Metropolitan Region – was arrested after attending Cabramatta Police Station yesterday (Friday 16 January 2026).

He was charged with use carriage service to menace/harass/offend and contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic).

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Monday 2 February 2026.

The officer's employment status is under review.
