Officer issued court attendance notice following crash, NSW

A police officer has been issued a court attendance notice after being involved in a crash while responding on urgent duty at Moore Park earlier this year, NSW Police say.

The officer collided with a tipper truck while travelling through the intersection of South Dowling Street and Lachlan Street about 4.30am on Saturday 25 March 2017.

The senior constable was responding on urgent duty and had the emergency devices activated at the time.

The officer, attached to a local area command within the Central Metropolitan Region, has been issued a future court attendance notice for negligent driving.

He is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on 31 October 2017.
