OMCG associate charged after replica pistol and $400,000 cash seized, NSW

An associate of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) will face court today charged after police located a replica pistol, cash, and prohibited drugs during search warrants, NSW Police say.

As part of ongoing targeting of OMCG and their associates, officers from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor stopped a vehicle on Carmichael Drive, West Hoxton, about 8.30am yesterday.

Police conducted a search of the vehicle and seized steroids, mobile phones and $6200 cash.

The 33-year-old male driver was arrested and taken to Green Valley Police Station.

Following the arrest, Strike Force Raptor officers applied for and were granted search warrants for homes at Denham Court and Hoxton Park.

The warrants were executed a short time later with the assistance of the Public Order and Riot Squad.

During the searches, police seized $420,000 cash, a replica semi-automatic pistol, small quantities of cocaine and MDMA, and various types of steroids.

The man, who is an associate of Rebels OMCG, was charged with two counts of deal with proceeds of crime, possess unauthorised pistol, four counts of possess steroids, two counts of possess prohibited drug, and a traffic offence.

He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.

Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009. It is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and any associated criminal enterprises.
