OMCG member charged over dangerous driving at Kadina, South Australia

A man has been arrested following an investigation into a dangerous driving incident in Kadina last week.

Police will allege that about 4pm on Thursday 2 January, a man riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle was detected travelling at more than 170km/h in a 110km/h zone.

When patrols attempted to stop the man, he sped off and the pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.

Police conducted further enquiries, and today (Friday 10 January) arrested a 26-year-old Mawson Lakes man, who police will allege is a member of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang charging him with engaging in a police pursuit, dangerous driving and driving while disqualified. He was also issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice, and enquiries continue to locate the motorcycle so it can be impounded.

The man was refused bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
