OMCG member charged with impersonating a government inspector in Tamworth

Police have charged a member of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) with allegedly impersonating an inspector from the NSW Office of Liquor and Gaming, NSW Police say.

Officers from Oxley Local Area Command were told that on the evening of Friday 8 July 2016, a man allegedly claiming to be an inspector from the Office of Liquor and Gaming attended a hotel in South Tamworth.

It will be alleged the man requested to view hotel documentation and made a number of comments about signage and patrons.

Police commenced an investigation and arrested a 28-year-old man at Tamworth Police Station yesterday afternoon yesterday.

The man, who is a member of the Finks OMCG, was charged with impersonating an inspector and has been granted conditional bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court Monday 12 September 2016.
