On demand hard waste collection

Barossa Council

Following the positive response to our hard waste voucher initiative earlier this year, January 2022 will see the introduction of a free 'on-demand' hard waste kerbside collection service available to both residents and ratepayers in selected townships.

We have been considering the matter of hard waste for some time, particularly as we know it is an issue which residents have been asking for action on, and so we are really excited to trial this new on-demand method for township residents.

- Mayor Bim Lange

The pilot on-demand service, facilitated by Solo Resource Recovery, will enable residents in Angaston, Lyndoch, Moculta, Mount Pleasant, Nuriootpa, Penrice, Sandy Creek, Springton, Stockwell, Tanunda and Williamstown to dispose of up to 2 cubic metres of household hard waste material.

Accepted materials include items such as furniture (excluding mattresses), white goods (excluding fridges and freezers), electronics such as TVs and computers, carpets, gardening equipment, metal and timber.
