Banyule Criminal Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a 41-year-old man in Greensborough this morning as part of an ongoing investigation, Victoria Police say.
Police attended an address on Boyd Street about 6.15am and executed the arrest without incident.
The man is facing 71 charges relating to a number of alleged incidents including theft of motor vehicle, theft from motor vehicle, handle stolen goods, and deceptions, believed to have taken place across the Eltham, Montmorency, Greensborough, and St Helena areas.
He is expected to appear in at the Heidelberg Magistrates Court tomorrow.
