One man has died and five other people were injured after an eight-vehicle crash near Campbelltown overnight.
Emergency services were called to Campbelltown Road near Rose Payten Drive at Woodbine about 7.15pm (Friday 30 March 2018), and found a number of vehicles - a blue Holden Commodore, a Toyota Yaris, Nissan X-Trail, Ford Mondeo, Hyundai Santa Fe, a Commodore wagon, Kia Sportage and a Mitsubishi Lancer - had collided, NSW Police say.
As a result of the crash the blue Commodore caught fire.
A 18–year-old man, who was a passenger in the Kia Sportage, died at the scene.
A 57-year-old man, who was driving the Kia, and his remaining passengers – two men aged 19 and 20, and an 18-year-old woman were all seriously injured.
The driver and three passengers have undergone surgery and are in serious but stable conditions.
A 26-year-old man from Mount Annan, who was driving the blue Commodore, was freed from the wreckage by witnesses. He has undergone surgery at Liverpool Hospital for internal injuries.
The Commodore wagon was driven by a 69-year-old man and two passengers. The female passenger from this car was injured.
The drivers and passenger of the remaining vehicles were assessed on site by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for further medical checks.

A 21-year-old woman, who was driving the Ford Mondeo
A 54-year-old man who was driving the Santa Fe and
A man and woman, both aged 26, who were travelling in the Mitsubishi
