One dead in single vehicle crash - Jabiru

A 33-year-old man has been killed after the vehicle he was driving rolled on the Kakadu Highway.

Police were notified of the single vehicle crash around five o’clock this morning. Jabiru Police attended the scene approximately five kilometres from the Arnhem and Kakadu Highways intersection, locating the man’s body in bushland near the vehicle, Northern Territory Police say.

Investigations are ongoing but it is believed he was not wearing a seatbelt and speed was a contributing factor.

The NT’s road toll is now 24, compared to 12 this time last year.
