One man charged, investigations continue following armed robbery in Willmot

Police have charged one man and investigations are continuing following an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Just after 6pm on Wednesday 23 November 2016, two men entered a business on Discovery Avenue, Willmot.

It will be alleged the two men produced a knife and a firearm and threatened staff members and demanded cash. The men fled with scene with a small sum of money and cigarettes.

Police attached to Mt Druitt Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

About 2pm today, a 30-year-old man attended Mt Druitt Police Station where he was charged with armed robbery in company, drive while disqualified and failure to disclose driver and passenger of vehicle.

He was refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court tomorrow.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
