One man charged, investigations continue, NSW

A man has been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into criminal activity in the Central Hunter. , NSW Police say

Strike Force Luchetti was established in September 2017, comprising of officers from Central Hunter and Lake Macquarie Local Area Commands, to investigate vehicle theft throughout the areas.

Police will allege their inquiries revealed a syndicate, during which vehicles were stolen and parts of the vehicle were exchanged for drugs.

Following investigations, on Tuesday 5 December 2017, officers arrested an 18-year-old man.

He was charged with steal motor vehicle (x2), steal from motor vehicle, trespass, goods in custody, self administer prohibited drug and fraud.

The 18-year-old was granted conditional bail to appear at Toronto Local Court on Tuesday 12 December 2017.
