One man dead, one under guard in hospital after stabbing near Yass

A man is dead and another is under police guard after a fight west of Yass this morning.

Emergency services were called to a property on Glenroy Road at Good Hope, 20km south-west of Yass, about 2.45am (Monday 13 January 2020), and found a man suffering a stab wound. He died at the scene.

A second man was found nearby also suffering stab wounds and has been taken to Canberra Hospital where he remains under police guard.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are underway by detectives attached to The Hume Police District.

A knife has been located and will be taken for forensic examination.

It's understood the men were known to each other.

They are both believed to be aged in their 30s.
