One Wyndham Young Person Of Month Award

Applications for the July, August and September One Wyndham Young Person of the Month Award are now open.

Wyndham Mayor and Learning City portfolio holder Cr Josh Gilligan said the award was about recognising the ingenuity and accomplishments of young people across the municipality.

"Wyndham is home to many talented young people who are positively contributing to their community, and Council believes it is important to celebrate their achievements," Cr Gilligan said.

"Winners will receive a $200 gift voucher for materials that will help with their work or education, a certificate they can reference in their CV and a range of promotional opportunities."

"The award recognises all forms of accomplishments, catering to people with varying passions and interests."

"Whether you are volunteering your time to a good cause, supporting your peers or family, achieving excellence academically or pursuing your artistic passions, I encourage you to apply for this award."

"Applicants need to demonstrate their community spirit, which could be through something as simple as volunteering as a sports coach or caring for a loved one."

"The monthly winners will be positive role models to other young people in the community who may have similar aspirations and goals."

Applications close on Monday 15th June 2020.
