Widespread rainfall and thunderstorms has led to dangerous flash flooding across much of Western and Southern NSW. Overnight, over 120mm of rain fell in the Central West.
Over the last 24hours the NSW SES has responded to more than 855 requests for assistance and 204 flood rescues. NSW SES crews have responded to more than 140 flood rescues in Eugowra.
NSW SES is continuing to respond to the evolving situation in Eugowra, with 11 helicopter aviation assets being used to assist. Roads have been cut from floodwater, leaving the township completely isolated.
In Eugowra, one in five residents have been rescued in the last 24 hours by either helicopter or boat.
There are 107 NSW SES warnings current with 16 at Emergency, 73 at Watch and Act and 18 Advice.
NSW SES is closely monitoring flooding at Bathurst, which is currently at major.
If you come across flood affected roads, make the safe decision, turn around and find an alternate route.
