Optus strengthens mobile coverage in Aberdeen

Optus has switched on its first tower in Aberdeen, delivering locals stronger Optus coverage in the Upper Hunter Region of New South Wales.

The new Optus tower will provide increased coverage and capacity to Aberdeen, with improved ability to take and receive calls, send texts, and connect to the web while on the move.

Optus Territory General Manager for North West & Mid North Coast NSW, Chris Simon, is thrilled to be providing mobile coverage in the region.

Its fantastic to be announcing yet another tower added to our Optus network across regional NSW. We are proud to be expanding our network with Aberdeens first site and allowing customers who live or travel to this region to do more of the things they love, in more places.

Our mission, as we continue to expand our footprint and strengthen the digital economy, is to help people on the go stay connected and have a reliable and strong connection to the network. As we roll out our best network ever, we know that customers want faster download speeds and reliable connectivity whether they are at home or on the go.

The tower in Aberdeen will provide improved 4G mobile connectivity, coverage and capacity and also provide competition and choice for local businesses and residents by offering a world-class network at a great value, added Mr. Simon.
