Ormonde Parade Traffic Campaign: Keep Hurstville Moving

Georges River Council

Georges River Council has launched a Traffic Awareness Campaign. This will help improve safety and traffic flow along Ormonde Parade in the heart of Hurstville CBD.

Council has installed new signage with important messages to remind drivers how to use the Kiss and Ride zones near Hurstville Station.

Mayor Elise Borg said the campaign is about keeping the area safe and efficient for everyone.

"Ormonde Parade is one of our busiest commuter areas," Mayor Borg said.

"By following the rules, drivers can help reduce congestion and make drop-offs and pick-ups safer for all."

"We're asking residents, commuters and visitors to work together. When everyone does the right thing, the whole area runs more smoothly."

The new permanent signs highlight Kiss and Ride zones are for pick up and drop off only.

Council also installed temporary signs to notify drivers that Kiss and Ride zones are a two-minute zone, that drivers must remain with vehicles at all times, and fines apply.
