Our Community Grants Help Local Groups

Our community grants help local groups run great programs. They enhance social connections and improve wellbeing.

We welcome grant applications from local clubs, community groups and not-for-profit organisations from 15 May - 9 June.

Last year, we provided almost 50 community groups and organisations with more than $400,000 in cash and $245,000 of in-kind support. The grants went to projects that promote a more inclusive, healthy, creative and sustainable local community.

Helping Hoops received a community grant last year, which they used for a program facilitator for Bounce Prahran. This program provides free weekly basketball sessions for children aged 8-16 years living at Horace Petty Estate.

Operations Manager Hanna Cruz said the grant had a big impact for the young people involved.

"The funding enabled the ongoing delivery of Bounce Prahran, ensuring young people have consistent access to a safe environment to develop key skills, confidence and strengthen meaningful connections through basketball."
