Over 100 firearms seized from rural property in Cobar

Police have seized over 100 firearms from a property in Cobar yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 9.45am (Sunday 31 December 2017), detectives from Darling River Local Area Command attended the property and spoke with a resident.

During a subsequent search of the property, officers located and seized 114 firearms, with the majority of them unregistered and not stored safely.

Thousands of rounds of ammunition were also seized.

All items were taken to Cobar Police Station for further examination.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
