Dept of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications

Over $38 million will flow under the Australian Government's Bridges Renewal Program (BRP) to support 31 projects upgrade and replace damaged or deteriorating bridges.

The latest funding will support projects that improve the ease of access and safety of road networks in regional areas, and enhance the productivity of heavy vehicle operations, such as trucks.

As part of this round, $3.8 million will enable the replacement of the Brockley Street Bridge in Wodonga (VIC), and $1.5 million will support the upgrade of the Red Rover Bridge in Gladstone (QLD).

Applications for the BRP funding are accepted all year round from state, territory and local governments to provide flexibility and allow projects to be submitted when they will most benefit the community.
