Overnight burglaries of businesses in Lauderdale and New Norfolk, TAS

Police are seeking public assistance following two business burglaries committed in Lauderdale and New Norfolk overnight, Tasmania Police say.

The Bangalee Store in Lauderdale was the subject of a burglary that occurred around midnight with the offenders crashing a vehicle into the front of the store causing extensive damage. The offenders then forced entry to the cigarette cabinet and a quantity of cigarettes were stolen.
The second burglary took place at 3:50am at a local chainsaw and mower business in New Norfolk. It appears that the offenders pulled the front door away from the business, possibly using a vehicle. A quantity of chainsaws were then stolen.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen an older model white Toyota Camry sedan being driven erratically in the greater Hobart area during the night.
