Cairns Regional Council advises of overnight road closures to allow for works at several city locations between Sunday 20 June and Wednesday 23 June.
Temporary road closures and detours will be in place to allow for asphalt overlay of traffic lanes in the city between 6pm and 6am on the following roads and dates:
- Spence St / Sheridan St intersection: Sunday 20 June and Monday 21 June
- Shields St, from Grafton St to Sheridan St: Tuesday 22 June and Wednesday 23 June
- Shields St, from Sheridan St to McLeod St: Wednesday 23 June and Thursday 24 June 202.
Nightworks will also take place on Mulgrave Road near Stockland Shopping Centre between 7pm and 6am on Tuesday 22 June and Wednesday 23 June 2021. Expect temporary road closures and detours at this time.
