Acting Sergeant Ann Edge from Southern Road and Public Order Services said 'This incident is not only disappointing but extremely dangerous. This young man has put not only himself but every other person using the road at that time in danger. I would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that Tasmania Police could be anywhere at any time, and if you are doing the wrong thing you will get caught'.

The vehicle being driven by the man at the time was clamped by police and he will appear in court at a later date to face speeding charges.
