Pair arrested following Tatura burglaries

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two people this morning following three burglaries in Tatura overnight, Victoria Police say.

A 27-year-old Tongala man and a 31-year-old Kyabram woman have been interviewed in relation to the incidents, as well as other burglaries in Rushworth, Kyneton, Bendigo and New South Wales.

The woman has been charged with property offences and bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrate’s Court on 28 November.

The man is expected to be charged with burglary, theft and traffick a drug of dependence.

He will face an out of sessions court hearing tonight.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incidents and are still searching for a second man believed to be involved in the burglaries.
