Pair charged after man's body found in Preston bin

Homicide Squad detectives have today charged two people after the body of a man was located in a wheelie bin in Preston on Saturday 27 May, Victoria Police say.

A garbage man was emptying the bin at the intersection of Young and Butler streets shortly after 8am when the body of a 44-year-old man was discovered.

A 35-year-old Preston man has been charged with one count of murder and a 26-year-old Preston woman has been charged with accessory to murder.

They will both appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
