Quotes attributable to Springvale Divisional Response Unit Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Ashley Penry:

"Drug activity results in a plethora of additional crimes being committed in our community that affects so many more than just those in the drug trade.

"Getting caught trafficking drugs is no joke; you could spend up to 25 years behind bars if found guilty.

"Replica firearms may sound like toys but possessing them is also a very serious offence.

"They are often indistinguishable from the real thing, especially if used in a high-stress situation such a burglary or robbery, where a victim or witness believes they are real.

"By removing dangerous drugs and weapons from the street, we are making it safer for everyone."
