Pair charged after shots fired in Keysborough

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man and a woman after shots were allegedly fired at police in Keysborough yesterday, Victoria Police say.

Police were executing a search warrant at a residential address on Ascot Place when a number of shots were allegedly fired by an occupant of the home just before 6.30am.

No one was injured in the incident and a man and woman, both from Keysborough were arrested at the scene.

A 33-year-old woman was charged with attempted murder, reckless conduct endangering life, assault police, use a firearm to resist arrest and other related offences.

She was remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning.

A 39-year-old man was charged with traffick and possess a drug of dependence and possess ammunition.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court this morning.
