A Devonport man was left gobsmacked after a palm reading from his youth proved eerily accurate, with his $620,000 TattsLotto win marking the third of the four predictions to come true.
The Tasmanian resident held one of the 10 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4579, drawn Saturday 7 June 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $627,568.96.
When we called with the magical news, the winning man had no idea of his windfall and was caught by complete surprise.
"Oh, my goodness!" he cheered.
"This is the phone call I've been waiting for!
"Thank you so much. This is incredible.
"I'll tell you a little story. I did a lot of travelling when I was younger and one time a young chap asked if he could read my fortune.
"He looked at my palm carefully and he told me four things. I'd get married very soon, how many children I'd have, that I'd come into a lot of money in old age, and lastly, how old I'd be when I passed.
"Sure enough, the first two came true, and now this! Wow!"
When asked how he planned to use his newfound fortune, the winning man shared he had a few ideas in mind.
"I'm certainly going to treat my kids," he said.
"I'm retired now but this will certainly help. I've got to be smart, so I'll bank most of it, but I'll definitely have a bit of fun too.
"I wouldn't mind a spontaneous holiday!"
His marked 11-game winning entry was purchased at Centre Newsagency & Lotto, Woolworths Arcade, 74 Best Street, Devonport.
