Palmer congratulates Taylor, leader of Titanic
United Australia Party Chairman, Clive Palmer, has congratulated Angus Taylor for being appointed leader of the sinking Titanic.
"The Coalition is doomed. Rearranging the deckchairs won't change the outcome," Mr Palmer said.
"I am sure Angus Taylor will be happy that he has achieved his lifelong ambition as dictator of his party. However, what is certain is that an iceberg lies ahead of him.
"He has already fired his first shot by throwing the women overboard and putting the men of a life raft with a gaping hole and no policies to plug the gap.
"He is an arrogant politician who doesn't know what he or the Liberal Party stands for. One thing he does know is that he has 17 enemies from within his party who backed Sussan Ley.
"I am already hearing of further defections from the Coalition, who will be next?" he said.
"There is so much more entertainment to come as the party slides further into irrelevance.
"Sussan Ley's seat will soon go to a by-election and it will be another seat lost to the Liberals," Mr Palmer said.
