Parking patrols in Lismore CBD resume on Monday, 6 July

Parking patrols in the Lismore CBD will be re-instated from July 6, 2020 following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

Lismore City Council had temporarily suspended patrols when restrictions were first imposed to help support local businesses, Council's Manager of Development & Compliance Chris Watts said.

"Now that restrictions have eased, more people and significant activity is returning to the CBD. This means we need to reinstate patrols to make sure equitable parking is available for both shoppers and staff. This will help to reinvigorate the CBD and our local economy," he said.

"We thank everyone in advance for adhering to all parking signage, such as timed parking and loading zones."

Free all-day parking remains at all pre-Covid 19 locations, such as the Harold Fredricks and John Crowther carpark.

Leading up to July 6, Council will be undertaking patrols, issuing warnings for exceeding time limits and undertaking educational activities.
