Passenger dies following crash at Evanston, SA

A man has died in hospital two weeks after being involved in a collision at Evanston, according to SA Police.

Just after 6pm on Wednesday 24 August, two cars collided at the intersection of Jack Cooper Drive and Brereton Road, Evanston.

The driver and passenger of one car were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment. Sadly, the passenger's condition deteriorated in hospital and the 82-year-old man from Hillier died yesterday.

The driver and passenger of the second car received only minor injuries.

The man's death takes the State's road toll to 56. It was 64 at the same time last year.

The collision will now be investigated by Major Crash Investigation Section.
