The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Guerra as Chief Executive Officer. Paul will assume the role early next year. The appointment follows a wide-ranging search to replace current CEO, Mark Stone AM, who will step down at the end of 2019.
Mr Guerra, most recently CEO of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, has an accomplished record leading significant Victorian organisations, including seven years as Chairman of the Queen Victoria Market. He also has strong links to international business, including holding senior executive positions in the Health and Telecommunications sectors across Asia Pacific. Paul said, "I am honoured to be appointed and excited by the opportunity".
President of the Victorian Chamber, Mr Don Rankin said, "we are thrilled to have a CEO of Paul's calibre to lead the organisation. He is an accomplished business leader and unashamedly fierce supporter of this State. Paul has extensive knowledge of both metro and regional businesses in Victoria, and we are delighted to welcome him to the Chamber."
During his eight years in the role, Mark Stone has led the Chamber to become Victoria's most respected public policy organisation representing the interests of Victorian business. Working with the Board, Mark has grown the organisation's strength and reach. He leaves the Chamber in great shape. His deep and trusted relationships with senior officials, business and political leaders has been fundamental to our joint success.
