Enjoying the ultimate air in your ears experience, police dog Tall and his handler were flown in by the police Air Wing to help sniff out two fleeing offenders.

Local police were called to a property on Murray Road to reports of suspicious loiters around 7.20am on Tuesday, 11 January.

It's alleged two men were loading stolen property onto a trailer.

Prior to police arrival the men allegedly fled on foot.

To assist local police, the air wing rapidly deployed Tall and his handler to help search for the offenders.

Shortly after, Tall located two men hiding under hay in a hay shed.

The duo from Benalla, aged 30 and 26, were arrested and are currently assisting police with enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
