Payment Centre Temporarily Closed Due To Flood Damage

NT Government

The Immediate Relief Payment Centre at Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre (GYRACC) in Katherine is closed today due to flood damage.

Flooding has affected the site overnight and repairs are currently underway. For safety reasons, the payment centre cannot operate from the facility today.

Residents are asked not to attend GYRACC while repairs are being carried out.

The Department of Children and Families is working to establish an alternative location for the payment centre as quickly as possible.

At this stage, we expect the new payment location will open from 12 noon today, once arrangements are finalised and the venue is confirmed.

We understand this is a stressful time for many members of the Katherine community and appreciate everyone's patience while we organise a safe alternative location.

Updates on payment arrangements and flood assistance will be provided as soon as possible.
