A man has been charged with low range drink driving after a pursuit in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.
About 10.20pm (Sunday 1 April 2018), police attempted to stop a Toyota Yaris which was travelling east on the M4 at Prospect.
The vehicle failed to pull over and a pursuit was initiated, which continued for several minutes until further police assisted in pulling it over on the M4 near the Silverwater off ramp.
The driver, a 57-year-old man, was spoken to and subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
He was taken to Merrylands Police Station where he was subjected to a breath analysis, which allegedly returned a reading of 0.070.
The man was issued a court attendance notice for low range PCA and not obey police direction.
He is expected to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Tuesday (4 April 2018).
His overseas drivers licence was suspended.
