A man has been arrested after breaking into a building site at Edinburgh early this morning.
About 2am Wednesday 30 June police were called to a warehouse that is under construction on Kaurna Avenue after security cameras picked up a man lurking around the site.
Patrols quickly attended and set up cordons around premises while police dog PD Marley was sent in to search for the suspect. PD Marley found the man hiding in a drain; he attempted to run from PD Marley but ran straight into waiting patrols and was arrested.
Police searched the 33-year-old Salisbury North man, in his possession they located a bag containing tools and wire that had allegedly been cut from inside the premises.
He has been charged with being unlawfully on premises, property damage, theft and going equipped. He was bailed to appear at the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 3 August.
