Police are investigating a crash in Riverside this morning which critically injured a female pedestrian, Tasmania Police say.
Around 7.20am police and emergency services were called to the crash on Ecclestone Road where a female pedestrian had been struck by a white Mitsubishi Triton dual cab utility.
The 31-year-old female pedestrian from Riverside was transported by Ambulance to the Launceston General Hospital with critical injuries.
The 19-year-old Riverside man driving the Mitsubishi was not physically injured.
Anyone who saw the white Mitsubishi Triton or female pedestrian in the Ecclestone Road area prior the crash is asked to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
