Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car At Ryde

A man has died after he was struck by a car while crossing a street in Sydney's north-west today.

Emergency services were called to North Road, Ryde, about 6pm (Monday 16 June 2025), and found an 82-year-old man died at the scene after being hit by a silver Toyota sedan.

The driver – a 56-year-old man – has been taken to Ryde Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
