Pedestrian Dies After Crash At Medowie

A pedestrian has died following a crash in the Port Stephens area this morning.

About 1.40am (Sunday 3 August 2025), emergency services were called to Medowie Road, Medowie, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Port Stephens Hunter Police District arrived to find a man had been hit by a car.

The man – believed to be aged in his 30s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for head injuries; however, he died at the scene.

The driver of the car – a 21-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police established a crime scene and officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced inquiries into the cause of the crash.
