Pedestrian Dies After Crash - Hurlstone Park

A female pedestrian has died following a crash in Sydney's Inner West area.

About 4.40am today (Friday 27 February 2026), emergency services were called to Crinan Street, Hurlstone Park, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 56-year-old woman at the scene for head injuries before she was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.

About 1.30pm, police received notification that the woman died in hospital.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident.

The driver - a woman aged 49 - was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
