A man has died after being struck by a car in Sydney's south west last week.
About 7pm on Tuesday 5 August 2025, emergency services were called to Sproule Street, Lakemba, following reports of a crash.
NSW Ambulance paramedic attended and found two pedestrians had been struck by a taxi.
A 91-year-old man was treated at the scene after suffering significant head injuries and taken to Bankstown Hospital in a critical condition.
A 70-year-old woman was treated for minor leg injuries and taken to hospital for further assessment.
The driver – a 73-year-old man – was uninjured.
On Saturday (9 August 2025), police were notified that the 91-year-old man had died.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are continuing.
