Pedestrian Dies After Crash Near Griffith

A woman has died following a crash in the State's south west today.

About 5pm today (Tuesday 28 April 2026), emergency services were called to Mancini Road, Whitton (approximately 35km south of Griffith), following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

NSW Ambulance treated the pedestrian – a 28-year-old woman; however, she died at the scene.

The driver of the car – a 27-year-old man – was taken to Griffith Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
