Pedestrian dies after hit by utility at Wagga Wagga

A man has died after being hit by a utility in Wagga Wagga today.

Just after 4.30pm (Monday 3 August 2020), emergency services were called to Pearson Street, near Dobney Avenue, after a 60-year-old man was hit by a utility.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital where he died.

The driver, a 27-year-old man, was not injured. He was also taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended and established a crime scene which will be examined by specialist forensic officers.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam vision to come forward.
