Pedestrian Dies In Hospital After Crash - Dee Why

A pedestrian has died in hospital following a crash in northern Sydney this week.

About 5.45pm Tuesday (3 June 2025), emergency services were called to Dee Why Parade, Dee Why, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended and found a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian, an 85-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a head injury, before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver, a 75-year-old man was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and officers attached to Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

Yesterday (Wednesday 4 June 2025), police were told the man died in hospital.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
