Pedestrian dies in hospital, South Australia

A pedestrian has died in hospital following a crash at Plympton last week.

Just after 2.30pm on Wednesday 30 January, police and paramedics were called to Marion Road near the intersection of Mabel Street after a Holden station wagon struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, an 82-year-old woman from Park Holme, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre but sadly died on Friday.

The driver of the Holden, a 28-year-old man from Richmond, was not injured.

Major Crash officers are investigating the crash.

The woman's death takes the State's road toll to 13, compared to 6 at the same time last year.

Police implore all road users - drivers, cyclists and pedestrians - to take care on the roads at all times.
