Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after a fatal pedestrian crash in the state’s central west today, NSW Police say.
Just before 6am today, a Toyota utility hit a 19-year-old man on Escort Way, about 5kms east of Forbes.
Police have been told the vehicle struck the man who was on the road.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the man; however he died at the scene.
Officers from Lachlan Local Area Command attended.
The driver of the utility, a 51-year-old man was taken to Forbes Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
