The male pedestrian struck on the Midland Highway in the early hours of Tuesday morning has been identified, Tasmania Police say.
The 30 year old male resided in Claremont.
Police would like to speak to any person who may have seen the male person dressed in dark clothing walking along the Brooker Highway or the Midland Highway in the early hours of this morning.
